Welcome to the Kick-Off with Inanimate Alice course! This comprehensive learning suite is the first in a sequence of courses designed to support teachers in the integration of the multimodal digital narrative series, Inanimate Alice.
Kick-Off with Inanimate Alice is designed to align with episodes 1 and 2 of the narrative series, ideally suited for students in grades 3 ‐ 5. These episodes provide readers with short, simple-to-navigate digital reading experiences as they get to know Alice, her digital friend Brad, and her parents.
The curriculum for this course is presented as a series of modules. It offers educators an array of teaching invitations to immerse their students in engaging, interdisciplinary learning. Aligned with curriculum standards and shaped by the Read, Imagine, Create, Share (RICS) Framework, Kick-Off with Inanimate Alice provides guidance and support for teachers, community-based educators, and families to optimize learning with Inanimate Alice, both in and out of school.
